Prosecutorial Council selected Irakli Shotadze’s candidacy for the Prosecutor General"s Office of Georgia.
Shotadze received 11 out of 12 votes.
The Prosecutorial Council will present a selected candidate to the Georgian parliament, which will elect the prosecutor-general. If the candidate fails to receive the required number of parliamentary votes, the Prosecutorial Council will choose new candidates following the law.
The Prosecutorial Council selected four candidates (Valerian Vacharadze, Dariko Tordia, Irakli Shotadze, and Sopio Shengelia) for the position yesterday.
