Everyone on board a Ukrainian aircraft that crashed close to Iran’s capital, Tehran, has died, Iranian state television has reported.
The plane had taken off from Imam Khomeini International Airport, the report said, and went down in farmland outside of the city.
The head of the Emergencies Department of Iran said that there were 179 passengers and crew on board the crashed aircraft, including 147 Iranians and 32 foreigners. It is believed a number of the passengers may have had dual-citizenship.
