I offered full support to President in the fight for independence, we are ready to remain at the Orbeliani Palace after December 29 - Ana Dolidze

We are ready to stay at the palace after December 29 and declare it the sole place where Georgia’s legitimate president will reside, said Ana Dolidze, one of the leaders of “Strong Georgia”, after the meeting with the President.

“This is an ongoing working process. Political parties that have crossed the electoral threshold are consulting with President. Discussions are focused on a document that will be presented concerning elections, election administration, conditions under which new, legitimate elections could take place in Georgia. Our main demands are new elections and the release of political prisoners.

I want to say that I offered full support to President in the fight for independence. We are ready to remain at the palace after December 29 and declare it the sole place where Georgia’s legitimate President will reside. This is one of our proposals - a form of support, alongside other forms, that we describe as legitimate, fair, and non-violent”, - said Ana Dolidze.

“By December 29, we will likely reach agreements on what we mean by democratic elections and the conditions that cannot, under any circumstances, be renegotiated. The election results must be legitimate and not some trap set by Bidzina Ivanishvili, which we might fall into. This will not happen, and Georgia"s president will take the lead on this matter.

We discussed the council, which will consist of politicians, and the president is also likely to form a public council. However, this is not currently up for our discussion - it is entirely up to her. This council will be at the forefront of decision-making. Naturally, we had already been working on this, as had the president, and agreements will be reached on this matter. Certain ideas about the council and the foundational document have been formed today”, - added Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Changes.
