Irakli Kobakhidze invites those wishing to participate in a public discussion to the government administration tomorrow

The Prime Minister of Georgia invited domestic stakeholders to a “public discussion” over his Government’s decision to suspend European Union accession talks until 2028.

“As the public is aware, we have already expressed our readiness multiple times to hold a public discussion with people who protest the statement made by our team on November 28th. Several former and current politicians have already expressed interest in participating in such a public discussion. We propose that they come, together with up to ten like-minded colleagues, to the Government Administration building tomorrow to hold a public discussion in a live broadcast format”, - reads the statement.

Earlier today, Irakli Kobakhidze expressed his readiness for public discussion “on all topics”, including those related to “events over the past four years in the country”. The statement comes amid ongoing public protests in against the suspension of the accession talks.
