As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions, officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested previously convicted in past for theft, attempted theft and illegal purchase-storage of drugs and currently on probation - A.M. (DoB 1997) for damaging property by setting fire.

The committed crime envisions up to 6 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on November 29 of the current year, during a rally on Rustaveli Avenue, the accused person, who is a member of one of the political parties, set fire to the electrical wires and power supply unit of the video surveillance cameras owned by Public Safety Command Center 112 installed on the pole of the Parliament building, thereby damaging and disabling the mentioned device.

As a result of the investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, A.M. was arrested as an accused person.

The investigation into the fact is in progress under Article 187, II part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
