According to the data of 10:00, 324,197 voters came to the polling stations, which is 9.27%, said Natia Ioselian, the Spokesperson of the Central Election Commission.
“The election administration continues to inform the voters and the parties involved in the elections regarding the progress of the voting day. At the moment, the process of voting at the polling stations is generally taking place in a calm situation. In certain cases, the facts of obstructing the work process of precinct election commissions are recorded. Accordingly, we once again call on the representatives of the parties, monitoring organizations and the media to follow the legislation, not to interfere in the functions of the commissions, and to facilitate the conduct of the election process in a peaceful situation. Media representatives must observe the established rule of photo-video shooting while working in precinct election commissions. Otherwise, the election administration will use the mechanisms established by law.
We remind you that the same local observation organization has the right to have only 1 observer at the precinct at the same time, international organizations have 2 observers who may be accompanied by an interpreter, media organizations have 2 representatives, and election subjects - 1 representative.
It was reported that 2 ballots were handed over to one voter. We would like to emphasize that the vote counting machine cannot physically receive 2 ballots at the same time. In the process of transferring ballots, mechanical errors are identified on the spot, and in no case was there a fact that the machine received two ballots together.
It was also recorded that a representative of one of the political subjects took a ballot in the election booth and made it public. As you know, it is forbidden to take photos and videos in the secret voting booth, and therefore we ask the parties involved in the elections not to encourage the prohibited action.
We will inform you about the activity of voters throughout Georgia as of 10:00. By this time, 324,197 voters came to the polling stations, which is 9.27%”, - said Natia Ioseliani.
