The Prime Minister of Georgia together with Mikheil Sarjveladze, Minister of Health of Georgia visited the Republican Hospital in the village of Rukhi, Zugdidi District.
The Head of Government of Georgia inspected the new medical equipment at the clinic. As Irakli Kobakhidze noted, an MRI machine was purchased for Rukhi Republican Hospital, which is crucial for further enhancing the hospital"s resources.
“This hospital will compete with any clinic in the region, and its resources are gradually improving. It has an excellent medical staff, and of course, the government will continue to support Rukhi Republican Hospital in the future. It is important to note that this hospital also receives patients from Abkhazia, including ethnic Abkhaz, from the occupied territories of Georgia. Rukhi Hospital is fulfilling a vital role in every sense”, - said the Prime Minister.
The hospital is equipped with the latest MRI technology, including a 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging machine. With its high-quality imaging and fast visualization capabilities, it enables the detection of small injuries and early diagnosis.
Rukhi Clinic will be the only facility in the region with such equipment. The hospital also operates an oncology department where patients undergo chemotherapy. Last month, 107 patients received chemotherapy services.
Additionally, the Rukhi Republican Hospital’s catheterization laboratory received a 2 154 000 GEL-worth ALLIA IGS 530 model angiography machine from the Georgian Medical Holding.
The angiography system in the cath lab allows for the treatment of emergency cardiology patients, offering coronary angiography, coronary stenting and services for patients with angiovascular and neurosurgical needs.
Rukhi Republican Hospital is one of the region"s leading state hospitals, built to modern standards and serves not only the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, but also citizens from the occupied territories of Georgia.
