Giorgi Volski meets with the delegation of Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports of the National Assembly of Armenia

The First Vice-Speaker, the Head of the Georgia-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Giorgi Volski met with the Delegation of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports of the National Assembly of Armenia and deliberated on the current and contingent cooperation between the countries.

“It is essential that we have signed the mutual cooperation document that envisages the enhancement of economic cooperation and political relations, that are upgraded to the level, when Armenia changed its position even in the UN, supporting the resolution that concerns the return of IDPs. The resolution is of a human nature but comprises the immense political essence and hence, the vector which characterizes our relationship will be further intensified”, - G. Volski stated.

As he noted, cooperation and relations are being enhanced in the spheres of culture and education, as well as among the youth.

He underlined the significance of maintaining stability in the neighborhood against the turbulences since stability guarantees effective economic indices, however, peace, in fact, is a key factor that constitutes the desire of the population of the region and is a target of their aspirations.

The meeting was attended by the Friendship Group members: the First Deputy Chair of the Defence and Security Committee, Tengiz Sharmanashvili; and the First Deputy Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Levan Karumidze.
