The autumn session of the 10th Convocation of the Parliament is to be conducted within the shrunk timeframe as announced by the Speaker at the Bureau today.

“Tomorrow, the autumn session is being opened. Although the summer is stipulated as the non-parliamentary activity period, providing that 2024 is the year of the Parliamentary Elections, everyone was busy with election-related matters. October 26 is the E-day and thus, the autumn session is going to be briefer, covering the key issues solely to allow all our colleagues engaged in the pre-electoral processes to enjoy a wider window of opportunity for active communication with the citizens”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.

He overviewed the current plenary week agenda issues underlining that MPs on September 3-6 plenary sessions will discuss the Draft Law on Amnesty and the Draft Law on Protection of Family Values and Minors for the II reading.
