The Office of the National Security Council will develop the principles for implementing and managing an early warning system for the population during emergencies.
At the meeting of the inter-departmental working group, led by the Head of the Council’s office, Levan Ghirsiashvili, the focus was on developing recommendations for the government and preparing a draft resolution to establish an early warning system in the country.
The discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring the proper functioning of this system and managing it effectively.
“This is a comprehensive issue that goes beyond merely installing alarm sirens. It encompasses multiple components, including active community involvement. We are partnering with the UN Development Program on this project, for which I want to express my gratitude, along with thanks to the foreign experts involved. If needed, we plan to bring in additional expert resources from our partner countries”, - said Levan Ghirsiashvili.
