The employees of the Akhmeta district division of the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, arrested A.T., born in 1986, on charges of violence committed against a minor member of the family.

The crime is punishable by up to 3 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the defendant abused his 2-year-old son, as a result of which the young child received multiple injuries and fractures on his body. The girl was taken to the hospital by the emergency medical team, where she continues to receive treatment.

The investigation into the fact of violence committed by one family member against a minor family member with prior knowledge is being conducted under the 2nd part of Article 126 Prima of the Criminal Law Code of Georgia.
