Due to the severe meteorological conditions, intensive works were carried out throughout the night on the 132-163 km of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway.

Representatives of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Service were mobilized on the spot to ensure safe movement of citizens and manage the heavy traffic in a timely manner.

The work process on the spot is being led by the director of the Patrol Police Department - Vazha Siradze and the Governor of Imereti region - Zviad Shalamberidze.

The employees of the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, with the help of heavy machinery, were carrying out intensive cleanup works to remove snow from the road.

At this moment, the mentioned section of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway has been cleared, the area of the Rikoti pass has been safely left by light vehicles with passengers.

By this time, the traffic is being gradually restored.
