Two foreign citizens, illegally detained by Russian occupation regime, released

Two foreign individuals, Turkmenistan and Turkey citizens, who had been detained near the village of Tsinagara by occupation forces, were released.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, the hotline for information exchange on developments along the occupation line, with the involvement of the European Union Monitoring Mission, has been operated on the incidents.

“The occupation forces had been responsible for the destructive actions committed in Georgia’s occupied territories, as well as in the vicinity of the occupation line.

The Government continues to work actively for securing the release of other, illegally detained, Georgian citizens”, - reads the statement of the agency.
