Tbilisi City Hall halts contract with Mamisoni after faults in Metro station Gotsiridze renovation. Such a statement made today the Mayor of the capital.

“Although with great delay, but the rehabilitation works of the Gotsiridze subway station have been completed, except for a few defects that need to be corrected. In addition to the delay in the works, it is important that the company Mamisoni did not keep the necessary documentation and so far no relevant examination has been conducted.

The mentioned company is very problematic and irresponsible. Therefore, we do not consider it necessary to continue cooperation with them, and nor I am sure that they will fix the mentioned defects. I would like to instruct the vice-mayor, Irakli Khmaladze, and the Head of Tbilisi Transport Company, Giorgi Sharkov, to terminate the contract with them. Take all appropriate measures so that the company Mamisoni cannot participate in any tender procedure in the following years. I understand that there were some problems, and deficiencies identified, and the said platform was not subject to rehabilitation.

They had all kinds of assistance from our side, however, considering everything, for such a long time, they are unable to keep basic documentation. For all the work that needs to be done, for all the defects that need to be corrected, take responsibility and we will fix it ourselves, and demand the amount that will be spent, through the court, from the said company. We will do everything to put the Gotsiridze subway station into operation as quickly as possible and serve passengers as soon as possible”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
