As a result of operative and investigative activities, the employees of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested I.J. (DoB 1999) in Tbilisi for armed robbery and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms.

The committed crime envisions from 4 to 12 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on December 14 of the current year, the accused person assaulted one of the branches of the Bank of Georgia, illegally appropriated money from the bank employee under the pressure of the firearm and fled from the scene.

Police, as a result of investigative actions and operative measures, arrested the person who committed the crime few hours after the incident.

Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime and cash as evidence.

The investigation is being carried out under Article 179, Part III, Sub-paragraph “C” and Article 236, Parts III and IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
