3 fighters - Otar Gagua, Fridon Tirkia and Boris Berulava - who died in the Abkhazian war, were buried with military honors at Digomi Brothers Cemetery.

With joint efforts of the State Ministry for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the International Committee of the Red Cross, the remains of 3 civilians - Giorgi Jokhadze, Otar Tutisani, Yuri Macharashvili and 8 fighters, who died during the 1992-1993 military conflicts in the Georgia’s Russian-occupied region of Abkhazia - Otar Gagua, Revaz Kvaratskhelia, Vakhtang Khojanashvili, Bidzina Ushkhvani, Zviadi Ushkhvani, Boris Berulava, Fridon Tirkia, and Khvicha Dekanosidze - have been transferred.
