The Mayor of Tbilisi, has revealed the Mziuri park will expand following the purchase of an area of up to 18,000 square metres by the city hall.
“Modern history and culture in the capital are tightly woven into Mziuri Park. It was completely renovated two years ago, and now it is one of the beloved places for young people.
Unfortunately, it was impossible to fully rehabilitate the space, as a part of it was in private ownership. Negotiations with the private owner have been ongoing for several years. As a result, the municipality regained around 18,000 square metres of land. Tbilisians would have more space for entertainment and recreation”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
The agreement will need to be confirmed by the Tbilisi City Council.
