Employees of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational-search measures and investigative activities, detained E.C (DoB 2005) for premeditated murder committed against a minor under aggravating circumstances.

The investigation established that the accused person, on the basis of argument, inflicted several wounds with a cold steali to a minor - S.M. (DoB 2007) in Zugdidi, who died before being transferred to the hospital.

The law enforcement officers, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions detained E.C. shortly after the incident, in Zugdidi.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, subsection “E”, which refers to premeditated murder committed against a minor under aggravating circumstances.
