The Minister of Internal Affairs opened newly built police building in Tabakhmela

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, opened new police building in Tabakhmela. The Minister, along with the First Deputy Minister – Shalva Bedoidze and Deputy Minister – Giorgi Butkhuzi, inspected the new building and congratulated the employees on continuing their activities in the police building of modern standards.

Up to date, police building in Tabakhmela was temporarily located in the old local self-government building, while new police building was built at a new location.

25 criminal police officers will work in Tabakhmeli Police Department, serving residents of Tsavkisi, Shindisi, Kojri and Okrokana settlements that are administratively connected to Tbilisi.

The building has evidence, armory, identification, lounge and dining rooms, as well as a gym. Workspaces have been arranged for operational, investigative and precinct employees, as well as for security police employees. The newly built, modern building is equipped with the latest equipment and is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

After inspecting the new police building, Vakhtang Gomelauri held a working meeting with the police employees. At the meeting, the police infrastructure renovation projects of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were outlined, within the framework of which, a number of new buildings were built for the MIA structural units throughout Georgia.
