Irakli Garibashvili meets Tarash Papaskua, new Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Korea

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Tarash Papaskua, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Korea.

The Head of Government emphasized the importance of developing the bilateral and multilateral relations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea across a variety of areas, including trade and economic, investment, cultural, educational, energy, information technology, and tourism fields, also expressing the hope that this cooperation will deepen even further in the future.

The Prime Minister congratulated Tarash Papaskua on his appointment to a new position and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Tarash Papaskua graduated from the department of law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the department of European studies of the Institute for European Studies at the same university. At various times, he worked in the Central Office of the Foreign Ministry of Georgia and Georgia’s Embassies in Poland and the Republic of Austria. Since 2019, he served as Head of the Department of Trade Development and International Economic Relations at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
