We are working on short-term and long-term projects to eliminate the problem at the Akhmeteli Theater Subway Station. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.
“Today, some problems have been observed in the Akhmeteli Theater Subway Station. Regarding the turnstiles – they could not pass the appropriate number of passengers, which led to the gathering of citizens outside the subway. I want to apologize to the public. It’s not about me, it’s the aging infrastructure that’s the problem, but we’re here to fix it all.
As you know, we have started the implementation of the project, which includes short-term and long-term projects. The content of the short term is that the number of turnstiles will increase, which will allow more people to enter the subway.
The second, long-term project involves making the second entrance-exit of the Akhmeteli Theater Subway, which we are implementing together with the Asian Development Bank”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
