The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Alvin Botes, serving his official visit to Georgia.

The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation bilateral relations and cooperation on the Parliamentary level, as well as the regional security milieu, Russian aggression in Ukraine and its consequences for the security of Georgia and South Africa, as well as for the world.

N. Samkharadze overviewed the grave situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and informed the South African politician about the peace-keeping policy of the Georgian Government.

The Deputy Minister affirmed support of South Africa to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia stating that this approach of his country is not subject to revision
