The employees of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational and investigative actions, detained Z.A. (DoB 1987) for inflicting severe health damage on purpose to a family member, which led to the loss of life.

The committed crime envisions from 10 to 14 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused person, who was under the influence of alcohol, physically injured his sister- M.A. (DoB 1988) in Sighnaghi, as a result of which the woman died at the place of crime.

Law enforcement officers arrested Z.H. as a result of immediate police activities.

The investigation on the fact of inflicting severe health damage on purpose to a family member, which led to the loss of life, is being conducted under Article 11(1)-117, Part IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
