Tbilisi City Hall completed the rehabilitation of the existing small cascade and round fountain in Vake Park. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.
“We completed the first stage of the Vake Park restoration works last year, which meant a complete renovation and arrangement of the area. This time, the Municipal Department of Environmental Protection of Tbilisi City Hall completed the rehabilitation of the existing small cascade and round fountain, in the second stage. Full rehabilitation in Vake Park is being carried out without significant interventions and changes.
The original appearance of the park has been restored to the maximum extent. The existing cascade of fountains will be completely renewed with the same materials and visuals that existed. In addition, the water supply system was completely replaced. Fully modern technology, which is automated, has been installed. In addition, a new lighting system has been installed, which will offer a real spectacle to the visitors of the park.
The third stage with the rehabilitation works of the central cascade is already underway and will be entirely completed in the spring of next year. I am sure that the main park of Tbilisi will create wonderful stories of love, friendship and urban coexistence again. It is a place that has raised generations, where people used to gather and discuss the most important issues of the city. With this restoration, we are reviving the history of the city, bringing life back to Vake Park that it had”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
