Right to ask a question and have an opinion is a constitutionally guaranteed right, in Russia this right is restricted - Anri Okhanashvili on the statement of People’s Power

I would not call the statements of People’s Power pro-Russian - if we say that the right to ask questions is pro-Russian, then the right to ask questions in democracy must also be called pro-Russian, which is absurd. Such a statement made the Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee, while responding to the opinions of People’s Power on the US funding.

“The US support for the strengthening and development of democracy is very important and valuable for us. It is up to the US Embassy how they will respond, and I don’t see any problem in making the funding public.

From what I have heard and seen, the statements of People’s Power cannot be called pro-Russian statements, as you call them.

If we say that the right to ask questions is pro-Russian, then the right to ask questions in democracy must also be called pro-Russian, which is absurd.

The right to ask questions, to have an opinion and to freely express it is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. This right is restricted in Russia, but everyone has the opportunity to exercise this right in Georgia”, - said Anri Okhanashvili.
