Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili is on an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.

A welcoming ceremony in honor of the Prime Minister was held at Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt.

Prime Minister is visiting Berlin together with a delegation, which includes includes Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Head of the Government Administration Revaz Javelidze.

After the resignation of Angela Merkel, this is the first face-to-face meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Chancellor of Germany.

The German side has already announced that a joint press conference will be held at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin after the meeting.
