The renovation project of one of the oldest streets of Tbilisi has started - rehabilitation of Krtsanisi Street will be completed in the spring of 2023, said today the Mayor of the capital.

“Complete rehabilitation of Krtsanisi Street and the second lane of Krtsanisi Street will be carried out. First of all, the underground utility services will be replaced at the mentioned address. The situation here is in a poor state – the water is often turned off, the water supply network is amortized, the drainage systems are out of order.

The company GWP will carry out the renovation of sewerage and water supply networks, and the rehabilitation of the main gas supply network will be carried out by Tbilisi Energy. A wastewater drainage network will be organized by the City Hall Municipal Department for Infrastructure Development.

Aerial wires will be placed in underground cable channels, and the outdoor lighting network will be also installed. The street will be fully adapted for disabled people. Due to the planned works, from September 1, this year, the traffic from the intersection of Krtsanisi and Gorgasali streets was partially restricted”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
