One more Georgian fighter, Berdia Jokhadze died in Ukraine, in the Kherson region.
According to the Georgian Ambassador in Ukraine, Berdia Jokhadze died in hospital during a surgery. The family says the Georgian fighter died of the complications developed after the use of chemical weapons by Russia. The expertise will determine exact causes of his death.
Jokhadze’s sister expressed her gratitude to governments of Ukraine and Georgia as well as fellow volunteers, friends and relatives of the deceased for their support in ensuring timely repatriation of his body to Georgia.
The body of the Georgian volunteer will be repatriated on Friday, August 19, before a military funeral.
