A large-scale field practical interagency training designed to develop the capability in combating proliferation of chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear threats opened in Tbilisi.
Held in Georgia for the first time and organized by the United States Defence Threat Reduction Agency, the drills will be observed by professionals of the field from the US.
According to the State Security Service of Georgia, the training would make a “significant contribution to the strengthening of the security” of the country.
The drills involve units and professionals from the State Security Service, the Emergency Situations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defence.
