The dedication of the heroes who died in the battle of Shindisi will always remain a proud example of our modern history, Prime Minister of Georgia wrote in his Facebook post.

“14 years have passed since one of the most impressive and outstanding heroic stories of the August War - the Shindisi battle.

Today, all of Georgia will once again honor the bright memory of the 17 Georgian warriors who died heroically in the battle.

Their dedication to the freedom and independence of the motherland will always remain a proud example of our modern history, on which future generations will grow up”, - writes Irakli Garibashvili.
