As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, on the fact of misappropriation of large amount of state property by deceit by manufacturing and using forged documents, brought to the criminal liability three persons.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, during 2020-2021, by manufacturing forged documents, fraudulently registered, state owned, 4 318 m2 of four land plots in Mtskheta - Mtianeti municipality, total market value of which estimates GEL 656 295.

During the investigation, unlawfully appropriated land plots were seized.

Relevant activities are being carried out in order to return illegally acquired land plots to the state ownership.

Investigation is being continued under the third part of Article 180 and second part of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
