Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated the women’s chess team of the country on winning the silver medal at the 44th Chess Olympiad.

“The Georgian women’s chess team is the silver medal winner of the 44th Chess Olympiad! I congratulate our celebrated ladies and wish them every success”, - writes Irakli Garibashvili.

The women’s event at the 44th Chess Olympiad was held in Chennai, India, from July 29 to August 9. It was contested by a record number of 162 teams, representing 160 nations.
