More than 10.5 million people have crossed border from Ukraine since February 24 - UN refugee agency

More than 10.5 million people have crossed border from Ukraine since Russia’s invasion on February 24, the United Nations Refugee agency UNHCR said on its website on Tuesday.

According to UN data, about 4.4 million people crossed the border of Ukraine from the opposite direction. It means that they returned to their homeland.

The majority of those leaving Ukraine have entered Poland through Lviv, with others travelling to Romania, Moldova, Hungary and other European nations. Thousands have also entered the UK through several refugee schemes.
