According to the Georgian National Tourism Administration, a total of 718,401 international travellers visited Georgia in July 2022 [177% increase compared to the same period of 2021 and a 65.3% recovery from the pre-pandemic 2019 figure].
The agency also revealed the number of international tourist visits had totalled 459,711 [80.6% recovery for the same period of 2019 and a 115% increase year-on-year].
In July 2022, the top 15 international visitor trips were recorded from: Russia - 156,737 trips; Armenia - 103,906 trips; Turkey - 95,989 trips; Saudi Arabia - 27,712; Georgia (non-resident) - 24,278; Israel - 22,684; Belarus - 20,773; Kazakhstan - 19,258; Ukraine - 18,711; Azerbaijan - 14,282; Iran - 11,787; India - 7,215; Poland - 5,731; Uzbekistan - 5,539; Germany - 5,460.
Overall, 2,344,329 international travellers visited the country between January-July 2022 [47.2% recovery from the pre-pandemic figure and a 214% increase compared to the same period of 2021].
