Department of State’s report confirmed that there was no fact of circumvention of sanctions in Georgia - Irakli Garibashvili

The Department of State’s report confirmed that there was no evidence of sanctions evasion in Georgia, and we have heard speculations and accusations in recent months. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia, while commenting on the report of the US Department of State.

“This report confirmed that there was no fact of circumvention of sanctions in Georgia, and we have heard speculations and accusations in recent months. We work with maximum transparency and will continue to do so in the future. This is the answer to the months of continuous slander that came from the radical opposition”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.

As he said, the State Department report also responded to “months of continuous slander carried out by the radical opposition”.

“We all know how property rights were not protected in Georgia until 2012. This situation has changed radically under our government. Today, private property is protected and everyone has the right to freely own property, develop business. Of course, businesses are inviolable just like people’s private property. This is an inviolable right of our citizens”, - concluded the Head of the Governemnt.
