I don’t think that they discussed the development of sports... the main challenge is war. Such a statement made Irakli Zarkua, a member of the Georgian Dream, while commenting on the statement of US Ambassador to Georgia.

“It is a fact that this meeting was arranged on Kelly Degnan’s initiative and it lasted for 3 hours. I don’t think the meeting concerned the development of sports. The main challenge in the world is war, where Russia is the aggressor and conquers the territories of Ukraine.

There is a reasonable doubt that it was the topic of the meeting, however, I can’t confirm it. I didn’t attend it, I don’t know, so it would be good if both parties make a clear statement about what the meeting was about.

Specific people, including those from the radical opposition in Georgia, non-governmental organizations, names were listed, as well as high-ranking officials of Ukraine, everyone knows their names, directly stated: “Maybe the second front should be opened”. All this has not been made up by us, the ruling party. We said that our country would not get involved in the war”, - said Irakli Zarkua.
