Up to 600 kg of harmful meat was sealed by the National Food Agency following an inspection in Tbilisi.

According to the agency, 3 meat-selling facilities have been ordered to terminate their production due to “critical non-conformities” after nine production locations were inspected.

Violations of sanitary and hygienic norms, as well as product labelling rules and storage conditions, were revealed by inspectors of the Agency in the process.

2 meat facilities were fined GEL 1,000 following the inspection, while one was issued a fine of GEL 5,000.
