As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained one person on the fact of storing large amount of excisable goods subject to marking without excise marks.

Investigation determined that the accused person, for further sale, was storing in his house large amount of various foreign-made, non-excised alcoholic beverages.

As a result of the investigative activities, non-excised drinks worth GEL 7 869 were seized.

Investigation is being continued under the second part of Article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
