Natia Loladze, the President of the Georgia Red Cross Society, has been elected the Vice-President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, marking the first time a Georgian representative will serve in the position.
Georgian Red Cross Society called the election a “great honour”, highlighting opportunities the development would bring.
Loladze, whose candidacy gained support of representatives of 192 countries, said she would do “her best” to support the development and strengthening of Red Cross national societies during her Vice-Presidency.
