Rehabilitation of Melikishvili Street will start on June 17, in the evening and the street will be closed. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

During the project implementation period, Varaziskhevi and Kostava streets will become two-way. As part of the works, the underground utility services will be completely replaced.

The drainage system network, water, and sewage systems, and gas pipes will be replaced. Power lines will be installed underground. Lighting poles with LED lights will be installed. Sidewalks, new bus stop areas, bus lanes, and bicycle lanes will be arranged. Underground waste collection bins will be installed and the infrastructure on the street will be maximally adapted for people with disabilities”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
