Rain is expected in Georgia from February 29 to March 2, with high snowfall, fog and snowstorms, and 4-5 degree storms at sea. From time to time there will be a strong westward wind.

According to the National Environment Agency, the abundant precipitation is likely to cause activation-formation of avalanche and landslide processes in the mountains. Besides, a significant increase of the water level on the rivers is expected.
