The Prime Minister of Georgia delivered a speech at the presentation of an Annual Report of TBC Bank.

According to Giorgi Gakharia, authorities will do their best “to make sure that banking sector of the country becomes one of the most significant economic foundations, one of the important sources of economic development to be strong and advanced”.

“TBC is a system bank. It has a very significant role in the macro-economic stability of the country, similar to the entire banking system for the synergy of effective cooperation between the state, the regulator and the banking system. It is our goal and authorities may expect a greater social responsibility from businesses, including the banking business. We should be more interested in making not only the banking system, but financial sector at large to be more developed. Everything has its time. Main thing is that we have a good, such balanced cooperation and I believe that the equilibrium we reached recently - especially between the authorities and the banking sector - is a basis for making 2020 further more successful for TBC and entire banking sector.

We only welcome this and authorities will do their best to make sure that banking sector as one of the most significant economic foundations of the country and one of the most significant sources of economic advancement be strong and developed, of course. We always speak openly about certain aspects of social responsibility that we need to share”, - concluded the Head of the Government.
