The so-called Security Council of Tskhinvali will close Perevi checkpoint.
“This virus reached Georgia. This is a serious challenge us, and the reaction should be prompt, at the same time balanced and correct. In order to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 we will completely close all simplified checkpoints until further notice”, - said Tskhinvali de-facto leader Anatoly Bibilov.
The crossing point will close at 8 p.m. today, local media reports.
The de facto authorities closed Razdakhani crossing point in early September of 2019.
