The Foreign Minister of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani meets with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

During the meeting parties discussed the situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and UN involvement in the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Special attention was paid to the grave humanitarian situation in the occupied regions and the steps taken by the occupation regime.

“We talked about the difficult situation that has arisen in connection with the closure of the so-called crossing point in Akhalgori. However, we have emphasized that it is inadmissible for people not to have access to education and first aid. We also talked about the problems with food supply in Tskhinvali region”, - said Davit Zalkaliani
