Today, on February 24, starting from 10:00, Paravani River will overflow because of the planned emptying of the Paravani Hydro-electric station basin. This will cause the 30/40 cm increase of flow height.

“Consequent from the risks of the river overflow, any movements in the river proximity is strictly prohibited.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs warns local population, fishers, tourists to be cautious and avoid risking their life and health”, - reads the statement of Emergency Management Service.
The Apindza Department rescue team will carry duty raids across the river-banks to prevent risks of the river overflow.
