Head of State Security Service of Georgia, Grigol Liluashvili met with the Ambassador of the US to Georgia Kelly C. Degnan.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the importance of the US-Georgia strong partnership cooperation in the security field and discussed opportunities to further enhance the exciting cooperation.
Liluashvili and Degnan reviewed existing challenges facing Georgia, as well as regional threats. Attention has been stressed on successful cooperation between the State Security Service of Georgia and relevant state agencies of the US, as well as the future plans.
Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia for security cooperation.
“We talked about plans that will surely be successful in the light of our cooperation, regional developments and security risks. We emphasized the great partnership and cooperation that our countries special services have.
We also discussed ways in which we can combat Russia’s efforts to counter Georgia’s progress. As well as the means to help us cope with the borderization”, - said Kelly C. Degnan.
