Relations between the two nations, the United States and Georgia, are important to both sides. Such a statement made US Congressman Steve Chabot after the meeting with the Georgian parliamentary delegation.
“We had a very good meeting. The relationship between the two nations - the US and Georgia - is important to both parties. We greatly appreciate Georgia’s role and partnership. For example in Afghanistan, where our troops are serving with Georgians. We appreciate it very much. We want to enhance and strengthen these relationships.
As for the occupation, Russians have occupied 20% of Georgia. These territories should belong to Georgia and not to Russia”, - said Chabot.
