According to the Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the Chinese man who was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital yesterday is infected with a Type B influenza virus.
The Georgian citizen being treated at the hospital also proved to be virus-free.
As Tsertsvadze said, the Lugar laboratory informed them that the test results for the coronavirus in both patient’s cases are negative: “The young Chinese man was diagnosed with the type B influenza virus”.
Tests on coronavirus were carried out at Richard Lugar Center for Public Health Research.
