The so-called KGB of occupied Tskhinvali will allow Akhalgori residents to move to the Georgian controlled territory once in two months

According to the so-called KGB of occupied Tskhinvali region, the residents of Akhalgori, who do not have the so-called “citizenship of South Ossetia” and receive pensions in the Georgian-controlled territory, will be allowed to cross the so-called “border” through “Razdakhani” checkpoint once in two months.

As the “KGB” said, a decision on taking appropriate measures were taken by the de-facto security council on 2 December 2019.

“Citizens of this category are allowed to enter Georgia from January 24 until February 6. The checkpoint will operate from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm in the direction of Georgia and from 17:00 to 20:00 in the direction of the South Ossetian territory”, - reads the statement.

Humanitarian situation in Akhalgori is severe as the de facto authorities of Georgia’s occupied region closed crossing points with the rest of Georgia in early September 2019, depriving locals from receiving timely and quality medical treatment or buy everyday items they need.
