Dare and Change movements put an empty garbage bin near the entrance to the Tbilisi City Council

Representatives of the civil movements Dare and Change brought an empty garbage bin to the Tbilisi City Council and left it near the main entrance of the building. They told opponents that if they did not abide by the law, they would fall into the political trash.

“Bringing a bin here is symbolic. Bidzina Ivanishvili and Georgian Dream lawmakers will find themselves in this bin. This is your future. The Georgian Dream has become a political garbage bin”, - protesters say.

They are chanting: “Slaves, Slaves” and demand that those involved in the conflict with Levan Khabeishvili be expelled from the City Council and the ruling party.

The activists gathered to protest physical violence by lawmakers against MP Levan Khabeishvili on January 24.

Protesters attempted to stick photos of those involved in beating Khabeishvili on the walls of the City Assembly building. Police mobilized at the scene, did not allow the protesters to attach the photos.

Protesters brought a garbage can to the City Assembly, with the photos of the lawmakers involved in the incident.

As Zaal Udumashvili, a member of the United National Movement, said, the party representatives only wanted to meet with the Head of the Council, Giorgi Tkemaladze, and were not allowed to do so.
